many bags fall into a typical design scheme: Square or rectangular with straps of various lengths. obviously there is so much more to handbags and I, of all people, know that. Yet we rarely see something completely outside of the box and when we do, I can’t help but rejoice a bit inside. Sure, not every design is a winner, but novelty bags easily stand apart and I appreciate a different design amid the monotony.
There are some really funky fall 2011 Jamin Puech bags with a Russian Gypsy traveling in Eastern Europe theme.
The designs reflect Jamin’s personality and experiences as she travels: local culture, tea and colorful attire filled with sequins and embroidery for day and night events. These three bags caught my attention.
Top left is the Matriochka (available in orange and blue) priced at $735. This design is modeled after the famous Russian nesting dolls and adds a genuine cultural touch to the design. next we have Stan, the $805 blue porcupine, that is such an unexpected design for a bag that I could not pass it up. He is kind of cute, isn’t he?! lastly we have the Serguei tea pot which is perfect for Alice in Wonderland themed parties and would be pretty interesting for a dinner party (price $760). more info via Jamin Puech online.
